Eddie Murray

Murray had the benefit of being a rookie in 1977 and playing the bulk of his career in the decade. He was a switch-hitter who could hit for power, average and in the clutch. He drove in the most runs of any player during the decade (996) and helped the Orioles win the 1983 World Series. Murray retired in 1997 and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003.
