Most of one room in our house has been taken over by a variety of Lego sets

Ibought my first baseball card in 1971 and haven't stopped, so my collection includes thousands of cards. That's OK. They're small and don't take up much room ... until they begin to number in the hundreds of thousands. So I began to sell some of my cards on eBay and Facebook Marketplace this spring to not only create more room but to also make some extra cash.

That's worked out well, although grad school has cut into my small side business.

My son started building Lego when he was about 4 years old, a passion that's never stopped. His Lego obsession has taken over an entire room.

Oh, and he likes Nike shoes, but doesn't have too many. Yet. Fortunately, Lego sets have several price points. Nike? Not so much.
