Philadelphia's Mike Schmidt

Schmidt had early success with the Phillies in the mid- to late-1970s, which he continued through the '80s. After leading Philadelpia to the 1980 World Series title as the NL MVP that season, Schmidt was again selected as the league's top player in '81 and '86. He retired in '89 with 548 career home runs and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1995.
